So what has been happening this week then Graham?
Well I’m glad you asked me that, I worked with Thelma on Thursday at the Discovery channel, we did the gig last year and surprise surprise they asked us back for this year.
So that was nice and Thelma and I jammed a little as well.

I was trying to decide the model of the month for Nov and went with the Troll, which is slightly influenced from Rob and Danny’s troll’s they made at the city of London jam last week. There are pictures on the forum from this event. City of London Jam.

We are off to Manchester this week for the Care & Share Balloon day on Wed 2nd Nov, there will be a minimum of three workshops and a couple of fun competitions to enter as well. Daniel McCullough will be running one of the workshops and I will do a couple as well. Booking details.

It’s quite a busy month for Ballooning as we then have the London jam again on the 8th Nov, the Portsmouth Jam on the 16th Nov and the South West Ballooniversity have announced a day on the 22nd Nov.
Apart from all those we then have the two day Star Lecture care & share days on the 29/30th Nov with Alberto Nava coming over from Italy and also Daz Cooper from the UK running workshops. Alberto made the hairbands design famous and Daz has a very unique style due to his body building experiences. Booking details.

All the pictures are now up from the Castle build that I helped on for celebrating the 950th anniversary of the Battle of Hastings. There are over 150 pictures to view with also links to newspaper articles, TV clips and mentions and also Rob has put up a few time lapse clips of the build. There were 20 balloon artistes helping and Olivia Post was the main organiser. Castle Pictures.

We have a special offer on the website for Nov on the 646 balloons in single colours,
646 Special Offer.

The last thing to leave you with today is some sad news from the world of balloons, Royal Sorrel passed away this week at the age of 58. Royal was co-organiser for the Twist and Shout Balloon Convention in America with his wife Patty. The times I spoke with Royal we always had quite deep conversations about our balloon art and I always went away in deep thought. Royal’s video tapes were among the first I purchased on my road into latex many moons ago, so thank you for the memories Royal and the legacy you have helped to leave behind, it was a pleasure to have known you xx.

The random balloon picture of the week, off to look………….
Back in a while.
I decided on the Norman two poster bed that we made for the Castle build.
