22nd July

The two school shows I did this week went fine, they had 400 children in the school and I said it might be better to split them into two and this was the correct decision. We had the 5 to 7’s in the first show and the older children in show two. I normally do not get nervous for shows but did on this occasion due to the way the shows came about, if you are not sure then please read the last two blogs for an explanation.

I went up to the London balloon jam this week, I think I have missed a few this year due to having to be elsewhere on the given dates. I have posted all the pictures I took from the event onto balloon chat. London Jam Pictures.

We are going to book what is a first for the care & share days with a comedic workshop for hopefully early November. It will hopefully help everyone with adding a little extra when either balloon modelling, face painting or performing a magic show. All the dates booked and confirmed are on the website, Balloon Days.

I was in Chatham yesterday covering for someone who had double booked themselves. The booking was for three 45 min balloon modelling sets. By the time I started it was like time to stop each set, it was unusual and like I had not been to work at all. A nice easy day and very enjoyable.

If anyone is looking to attend a children’s magic convention then in September there is the Kidology convention taking place with plenty going on and a very good line up of attractions to see over the two days. There is also Venturama on the third day if you wanted to work with puppets. The website for more details, Kidology.

That’s me for this week, off to find a random balloon picture to post.
Be back in a minute. A spaceman that I made a few weeks or
possibly a few months back now. There are more pictures
on Balloonchat for the design. Spaceman.
